WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team you would monitor and control the network that links the Columbus Control Centre (Col-CC), located at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) with other ISS control centres, including Houston and Moscow. Your main tasks would be:
- Monitoring of the computer and network systems and related (data, voice video) services
- Execution of real-time configuration changes
- Troubleshooting and lead of corrective maintenance during real-time and simulation operations
- Point of contact for Ground Segment related issues with all external agencies in support of real-time operations, simulation and test activities

Verification and testing of new and modified systems and interfaces, internally and with remote sites in the
United States, Russia and throughout Europe - Documentation of activities, configuration changes and anomalies (activity logs, test reports, anomaly reports, etc.)
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for a Ground Controller with the ability to apply logical thought processes in analysing and troubleshooting complex systems. If you want this position to be yours, we would like you to have knowledge and experience in:
- Space Data Systems and/or Ground Communications Technologies
- Standard Office applications, Linux and/or Networking
- Ability to understand, prioritize and filter several audio sources simultaneously
- Willingness to work a 3-shift system, including nights and holidays
We will also value good German language skills.
