Job Description: Outside Sales Representative, Focus Eastern Europe
Stafast Products Inc. is a growing fastener supplier with locations worldwide. Founded in 1958, Stafast continues to engineer products that meet or exceed their customers’ expectations.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for following Stafast’s policies and objectives to successfully meet or exceed the goals of the sales dept. and the company.
Communicate with current and potential customers by personal site visits, remote meetings, telephone, email and other means to develop the need for, and close the sale of, company products with full responsibility for sales activities and further development of our customer base throughout Europe with a concentration in Eastern Europe.
Enter into discussion with customers to determine their need for Stafast’s products and work with them to develop or improve their automation or assembly needs. Able to suggest and follow new product ideas through development. Perform machine maintenance functions as needed when visiting customers. Must be able to communicate professionally in German and English.
Interact and communicate effectively internally with the Sales, Operations, and Engineering depts. Coordinate efforts with others for joint sales calls, technical assistance, and advice concerning price, delivery dates and other pertinent data. Assist with other duties of the Stafast Europe (A/S) facility as needs arise.
Inform customers of supply and price trends. Make company services available to customers. Study trade periodicals and stay informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers. Maintain good relations with customers to create spheres of influence and to obtain referrals to develop new sales.
Attend sales conferences and other meetings as necessary for the exchange of sales information. Set-up and work the displays at trade shows. Keep records and make reports on all phases of activities and expense accounts. Strive for excellence in quality by following policies and procedures, including finance issues applicable to sales.
Must be able to travel extensively throughout Europe, maintaining transportation appropriate for customer calls and a driving record acceptable to our insurance company. Travel is approximately 40% and will include flying as well as driving based on customer needs.
